A New Amish Painting and Calendars For 2018

Hello friends. I am still working on that Lancaster Collage painting, and for some reason my heart isn’t in it, but i’m getting there. My paintings always get to a point where I tend to ask myself, “Should I have used watercolors or acrylics instead of pastels for this?”  But I think I am using the right media, so I will stick with pastel and see it to the end. I will post a picture soon.

Also, I am starting another Amish painting and it’s a little different as you can see. It’s a little boy peeking over a quilt hanging on the clothesline as tiny bird watches on.   You don’t see much of the boys face, but I wanted to get a grouping of images I love about Amish Country and put them together…nature, the beautiful quilts, the amish children, the labor…it’s kind of all in there…or it will be. Here’s a peek…

My new painting with no name yet

In the meantime, I  also have pics of what my calendar looks like. (These are being made through Zazzle and the link will be at the bottom of this post). I am really excited though because it looks awesome! Whenever I make a pillow, sticker, mug… whatever and see my artwork in print on a product, I feel like I’ve been published or something. It’s just a great feeling to see the colors so vivid, a product someone can use, and it’s MY design! So cool. But  it would  be interesting to kind of get and idea on who would be interested in one, so I can decide how I should sell these.  Anyway….here is what it looks like:

I really like the quality of the calendar as it’s very sturdy and the colors are so vivid. This is medium size and the size open it is about 10.5 x 16.5. I think the quotes add a nice touch to the pages that had the space to do so.

I’m sure these will really make a nice Christmas gift.  I have bought a limited amount for myself to sign and sell at Pebbles and Lace in Strasburg. I will be sending these there soon. I will let you know when they are there. If you are interested and want me to sign one and send one to you, I can place a custom order on my Etsy store. If you have any questions, please let me know. You can message me here or email me at mcprop@cox.net.

Well, I will get back to work now and  please let me know what you think!  Thanks everyone!

***P.S. UPDATE:  The calendar is now up on my Zazzle store here calendar

“The Country Path” Pastel Painting

As I wait for the Amish Calendar to arrive at my house so I can see what the quality is like, (then I can share it all with you) I have been trying my hand at simple landscape paintings. I wanted to try a sunset with a country path, like something you would see in Lancaster, Pa or any beautiful country place. I got several reference photos together and kind of melded all of them together to make this one. I did have fun as I didn’t have to be so picky. I was happy with the result and now I want to do more of course!

I love all the warm colors and the path looking like it lights the way on it’s own. I even added a simple quote to go along with the painting. Hope you like this. I think my next landscape may be an ocean or beach painting, not sure yet.

As far as the Amish Paintings Calendar, I will let you know when it will finally be up for sale. I’m not sure if I will sell them on Zazzle or on my Etsy Store, but I will definitely let you know in a few days. I will post pictures of what it looks like.

Thank you and have a great day!

P.S. The collage painting in my previous posts will be finished soon I swear!

Finished Pastel Painting of My Dog Max

Yes, I finally finished Max’s picture, and when I was done…I felt a little sad.  It felt like I could actually touch him…and his eyes are just how I remember them…like looking into your soul.

So here he is, and hope you like him.  If you would like me to do a pastel portrait of “your” pet or someone you know,  please e-mail me and I can give you all the info on price and  to what I would need  as a picture to use as a reference.  They make great gifts for people for Christmas, especially if you don’t know what to get for someone, and the portraits last a lifetime! My e-mail is mcprop@cox.net if you have any questions. You may also go to my portfolio site at http://www.cherylmcnulty.com, where I have samples of portraits I have done with the originals to compare.  Any design you see on this site can be made into a card, print, canvas print or whatever. I just take a design and send it through Zazzle, and make anything…so just ask and I will see what I can do.

I am also just starting to do watercolor pictures of angels with cats/dogs/pets,  for those who have passed away.   They can be comforting to the owners, I think.  I can take the picture of the pet with added wings and paint it to look just like the pet with an angel.  I will put up a picture of one asap.  Thank you and hope you like my Max!  He’s on my wall right now! 🙂DSC08581

Fine Art America…Here I Come!

Hello all.  I am just posting this because I just recently put a post up that I am on Zazzle, but I just took everything down and started fresh with Fine Art America @ http://cheryl-mcnulty.artistwebsites.com .  This site just suits me and my artwork much better.  It’s just in it’s beginning stages, but I am working on it.

Hopefully this is something that will work for me as I wait and search for that one company that would just love my work and take me on!  My dream.  Fingers crossed!  Check it out if you get the chance!  Take care.

I am now on Zazzle!

Hello again.  THis is just to let everyone out there that I am now on Zazzle (www.zazzle.com/cherylmcnulty57don) and the shop is just in it’s beginning stages, but it’s getting there. I am trying to learn all I can about how to categorize the shop and post as many designs in one shot, so as not to take forever.  It’s slow, but like I said,  it’s getting there.

I am trying to take my most popular designs and put them on tote bags, clocks, pillows, etc.  If you would like to see one of my designs on any product sold here, please let me know.  In the meantime, hope you like the shop.

Here is one of my popular designs on a tote bag.

Zazzle Again!

One of many designs at Zazzle. Thank you!

Well, I have many more items I am selling now on zazzle and am trying to post at least 3  products a day.  I am hopefull going to Etsy soon and would like to make my own laminated bookmarks and magnets.  The magnets on zazzle limit the size of the artwork, so I can’t seem to get a whole design on a magnet without cut-off of some of the design.  The way I make them is I shrink the design so you can still read the verse or quote and the design is very colorful and complete.  I will let you know when I do this.

I am also hoping to take “Little Red Sneakers” poem and create it as a poster or canvas print.  It was very popular when I first posted it.

But in the meantime, check out my zazzle!  Thanks!CherylMcNulty57don

Zazzle…Here I Come!

Yes, I am now trying to sell some items on Zazzle.com.  This allows me try my designs on different products and I’m hoping it will go over pretty well. Any ideas…please let me know.  There are so many products they make and I can’t seem to decide which design to go with what product!

This is all taking a lot of time and research…and my eyes are getting heavy!  Never have I stayed at this computer for so long (yawn).  I will post more there as I get more into it.  Slow, but sure….

Thanks.:)CherylMcNulty57don
