I know I haven’t posted in awhile, but I’m still trying my hardest to keep up with the painting. Having some more issues with pastels, I believe, and hoping I’m not allergic to them, as I just love that medium to work with. But for now, I have two to share. One is a little, Amish boy with a baby calf. It’s springtime at the farm, and he is enjoying the new addition to the farm. This painting is titled “Finding The Calf”.
The other Amish one is in the beginning stages of an amish girl daydreaming as she looks out her kitchen window. I have always wanted to do a painting with the reflections of light coming in from a window, so I am going to add many highlights on her edges of clothing to portray that. I can’t wait to see this one completed. I will share when I do.
Enjoy and hope to get more paintings out there soon! Stay safe!

Finding the Calf” has to be at the top of my list of favorites , the little boy”s expressions is exquisite!
Thank you , Jean. You made my day!
[…] CHERYL MCNULTY ARTWORK: Cheryl McNulty is a Rhode Island-based artist who does some superb work with paintings and renderings of Amish subjects, usually with Lancaster County leanings. I love her newest of an Amish boy and his calf and the one she has started of a contemplative-looking Amish girl. Click here to see both of these masterpieces! […]
Thank you so much Kevin. I hope your readers enjoy the new works!
I love your drawings! I stink at drawing but coloring, God gave me that talent. I love that little boy with the calf.I love baby animals but the smell from them, not so much. I love the colors in the background & the flowers in the field. That girl looking outside her window is so sweet! I can’t wait to see how she comes out. God really gave you a talent!
Thank you, Gail. I also can’t wait to see how the girl by the window comes out. I have always wanted to try a painting like this. Thank you again!
