Another Trip To Amish Country, Lancaster Pa!

My husband, John and I went to Lancaster, Pennsylvania this past week, mostly to see what PA is like in the fall (which we never have done), but mostly to thank the ones responsible for putting my painting of a little Amish boy (Benuel) eating a chicken pie, on “Amish Country News” and to pick up some issues to bring home. It was so nice to see the issues at so many places we visited, to see an issue on someone’s table at a restaurant, and to see it at the largest Amish farm shops. (I took a couple of pics at some stores).
When we went to the place where they produced the issue, and told the ladies there behind the desk why I was there and who I was and pointed to the magazine, they acted all excited. They said it was the cutest picture they ever saw and how they get so many compliments on it ! I was so happy! I felt like a celebrity!
Anyway, it was a great trip, beautiful colors and landscape and awesome time. Needless to say, I now have “many” copies of Amish Country News at my house. One for everybody! 🙂

  1. […] CHERYL MCNULTY’S LANCASTER TRIP:   Regulars here know I’m a big fan of Cheryl’s Amish artwork.  The Rhode Island-based artist recently made the cover of Amish Country News with her portrait of a young Amish boy.  It’s a beautiful image gracing the cover so if you are in Lancaster County in the next few weeks pick up your copy!  You’ll find racks and stacks of these handy tourism guides free scattered throughout the county in touristy type places.  Cheryl recently visited there to see her handiwork up close and she came away with some pretty photos of Amish country.  Click here to read and see more!
